OUR EDUCATIONAL MISSION IS HELPING CHANGE THE FUTURE
Program Structure
The SAS program is facilitated by local Mexican staff made up of seven tutors and director. Our staff monitors the progress of each child, ensuring that school enrollment fees are paid and that each child receives the necessary materials and uniforms. Students are enrolled in local schools and our staff works closely with teachers and parents to ensure that each student receives the support he or she needs to be successful through regular library tutoring assistance.
Missions Ministries operates an after-school program at our two libraries Monday-Friday. The libraries provide tutoring, guidance, and enrichment activities to any students in the community who wish to participate. As a student in the SAS program, your sponsored child will be required to attend a Missions Ministries library two to four times a week for accountability purposes. Families sign an agreement to help their student with school attendance, follow through on tutoring schedules, keeping up with homework, and attending parent meetings as necessary.
