How covid-19 has affected missions ministries
Dear Partners of Missions Ministries (MM),
We know you care deeply for the health, safety, and continued ministry to our staff, volunteers, and the residents of the colonias. The MM leadership and Board of Directors have been carefully monitoring the COVID -19 pandemic as it impacts our mission and the rest of the world. Parts of the world have begun to open up and lift restrictions, including Mexico and the United States, and we wanted to address the obvious question of, “When can teams begin traveling to the team center?”
Missions Ministries exists to transform lives and communities by partnering with local pastors and their congregations to meet the spiritual needs of “the least of these." As the pandemic began, our work was altered for 10 weeks as we followed the recommendations of the Mexican government. The MM leadership and Board of Directors also made the decision during this time to suspend team travel through August 31, 2020. Even though Mexican staff are now allowed to return to limited work, the restrictions and recommendations from the Mexican government make it impossible for MM to comply with protocols and provide a safe experience for visiting teams. So, the MM leadership and Board of Directors have unanimously agreed to suspend short-term team visits through December 31, 2020. We will continue to assess this decision and we welcome your feedback.

Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Where do we go from here?
MM has assured the local staff and pastors that we will stand by them as God continues to provide. Ministry will look different this year, but the work will continue. The Team Center is closed, but the ministry remains open!

Will you please consider contributing to this plan? The funds you give will provide direct relief and support to our friends in Mexico. We plan to create many new ways for our staff to serve, in addition to our construction, medical, and education strategies. We will provide funding and ministry reports as each week is filled with service. Thank you and God bless you for your faithfulness!
- What can we do to help share the gospel with those we serve?
- What are the next phases of ministry as we work in the poor colonias?
- How can we support and walk alongside the staff, pastors, and community?
- Partner with the staff, churches, and community in Mexico.
- Partner with individuals who love and support Missions Ministries.
- Partner with our supporting churches to further the Kingdom of God.
- Provide work to the local staff.
- Provide homes to families in need, food to the community, and support to the pastors.
- Provide hope and love as we continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus..
